Questions, answered
What Get Indexed does, how the tracking works, and how billing and data are handled. Still stuck? Email support@getindexed.ai.
The basics
- What is Get Indexed?
- An Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) platform. It tracks how often AI answer engines cite your brand, audits your site for the signals those engines use, and helps you tie citations to revenue. AEO is to AI answers what SEO is to search results.
- Which AI engines do you track?
- ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and Perplexity — on every plan. We add engines as they gain real answer traffic.
- Can you guarantee my brand gets cited?
- No, and be wary of anyone who says they can. AI engines decide what to cite, and that changes. What we do is measure your citation rate across engines over time and show you the on-page and off-page signals that move it. You control the inputs; the engines control the outcome.
Tracking & audits
- How does citation tracking work?
- You give us your brand name (and variants) and the queries that matter to you. We run each query against every engine on a schedule, three times per engine, and take a majority vote to decide whether you were cited — so one noisy response doesn't skew the result. Detection is exact text matching on your brand variants and domain, not asking the model "did you cite them." We store a snapshot of each response so you can read exactly what was said.
- How often are citations checked?
- You set a cadence per query — daily or weekly. We also alert you when an engine's citation rate drops sharply, so you catch a slide before it shows up in traffic.
- What is the site audit?
- We crawl your site and score every page across eight AEO signals (direct-answer density, entity clarity, schema coverage, readability structure, topical authority, content freshness, citation pathways, corroboration) plus eight technical SEO signals. You get a prioritized fix list and a shareable scorecard. Pro re-audits automatically every week.
- Can I run an audit without signing up?
- Yes. The free audit covers up to 50 pages with no account. Paid plans raise that to 500 (Starter) or 5,000 (Pro) pages and keep a durable history.
Optimizer & revenue attribution
- What does the content optimizer do?
- It rewrites a page so answer engines can extract and cite it, and generates FAQ schema (JSON-LD). Each rewrite is checked for invented facts against your source, scored for brand voice and content loss when an AI judge is available, and shown with before/after AEO scores. You keep, discard, or retry.
- What is revenue attribution, and do I have to install anything?
- Optional. If you add our ~2KB snippet to your site, we detect visitors referred by an AI engine and tie their conversions back to the specific cited page (or engine), so a citation can be reported as real dollars. First-touch, with a 30-day cookie. Everything else in Get Indexed works without it.
- I run a local or multi-location business. Does that help me?
- Yes. You can register each location's name, address, and phone and we check them against your site's structured data, flagging the inconsistencies that fragment your business entity and suppress local AI answers.
Plans & billing
- What does it cost?
- Starter is $149/month, Pro is $499/month. Full limits are on the pricing page.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — 14 days, no credit card required to start. We collect a payment method at the end of the trial; if you don't add one, the subscription simply doesn't begin.
- Can I change plans or cancel?
- Any time, from the billing portal in your settings. Changes take effect on your next invoice.
- What happens if I stop using it?
- After 14 days of inactivity we pause the workspace to avoid charging for unused service, with reminder emails at 7, 10, and 13 days. One click reactivates it and runs a catch-up scan.
Data & the crawler
- What does your crawler look like?
- It identifies itself as
GetIndexedBot/1.0(see/boton this site). It crawls at a low concurrency and only the pages your plan allows. Allow or block it in your robots.txt like any other bot. - How do you handle my data?
- We store the queries you track, the responses we collect, your audit results, and — if you install the snippet — attribution events from your site. We don't sell your data. The details, including our sub-processors, are in the privacy policy.
